Like Having An Uncle In the Finance Business
I’ve been told that listening to me is like trying to drink from a fire hose. That’s because I’m passionate about helping folks take control of their money, and I don’t sugarcoat the truth. I’ve written two books that you can find on Amazon: “How To Save Money Even If You’re Broke” and “Shelter From the Storm.” And if you’ve ever tuned in to a financial radio show in places like LA, Seattle, El Paso, Austin, or Albuquerque, you might’ve heard me there, too.
Right now, I’m taking this message where it’s needed most—teaching classes in Texas prisons and women’s shelters. I run a charitable group called Second Chance Hope Group (SecondChanceHopeGroup.org), where we give people the tools they need to turn their lives around.
Here’s the thing: Classes are great, but I’ve come to a conclusion—most people need one-on-one help. It’s in those one-on-one moments that real change happens. That’s where you can dig deep, create a plan, and get on a path to financial peace.
I’m a firm believer in the principle that “If you live like no one else, later you can live like no one else.” That’s why I’ve changed the way I’ve been doing things. Instead of holding back, I’m pouring out my free financial information to anyone who will listen.
In the last week alone, I’ve fielded questions on everything from Bitcoins and Social Security to how to set up an LLC and finding a patient lawyer I’ve even used my mechanical skills to repair a lady’s power washer so she can use it in her work. I’ve helped folks with business plans, taught them how to restart their credit, pointed them to resources for shelter, and even gave tips on how to ace job interviews to land that better-paying position. And, of course, I’ve shared the basics of how money really works.
I’m not just giving people a fish—I’m teaching them how to fish. And I give out my email, inviting questions, because I know that the more people understand these principles, the better equipped they’ll be to take control of their lives and their money. I’m like having an uncle in the finance business.
